Is the TAG System affected by rain or other weather conditions?
No, the TAG system operates effectively in various weather conditions. The control system and monitor are protected by IP-rated enclosures, while the power generation components are treated with a marine coating to withstand rain and snow.
What products does Green Road Energy offer?
Green Road Energy offers the TAG trailer-mounted wind turbine generator and the IMICS cab-mounted electrical power generator.
How does the TAG system create energy?
The TAG system features a wind turbine that captures kinetic wind energy from airflow as the truck trailer moves. This spins an electrical generator to create renewable electricity.
Where is the IMICS generator mounted?
The IMICS generator is mounted on the truck cab's driveshaft and engages magnetically to utilize rotational energy for creating electricity.
What trailer components can the TAG/IMICS charge?
Both systems can charge liftgate, refrigeration unit, lighting, pumping equipment and electric pallet jack batteries requiring between 12 to 48 volts.
What maintenance is required for these generators?
The TAG and IMICS systems require extremely minimal maintenance. The sealed units contain no belts or friction wear components.
Do the generators have any emissions?
No exhaust or direct emissions were specified. By reducing reliance on diesel to charge equipment, emissions are lowered.
Do trucks need to be pulled out of service to install the TAG or IMICS systems?
No. Installation is quick and efficient. Your trucks don’t need to be pulled out of service for installation.
What supporting services are offered?
